KCC E&C won the Seoul~Sejong Highway Anseong~Guri Zone 13 Construction Contract from the Korea Expressway Corporation. This construction was progressed through the Turn Key Base Contract based on the method of set price and best design. This is a method where the consortium that proposes the optimum design based on the price set by the employer is selected as the qualified designer, which excludes price bidding. The project section is the construction of two-way 6-lane 4.0㎞ extension from Choi-dong, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi Province to Godeok-dong, Gandong-gu, Seoul, and the line includes a 3.6㎞ tunnel section. This project was conducted with the goal to relieve the chronic traffic congestion in the Gyeongbu and Jungbu Highways, and it is expected to relieve 60% of the congestion in Gyeongbu and Jungbu Highways after the opening of Seoul~Sejong Highway in 2025.
